Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Here are the answers to the questions I hear most often.
Yes, I have current availability for new clients. I offer weekday and some evening appointment times. The best first step is reaching out for a free 15-minute consultation. I’ll typically respond within one business day.
I accept Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania (Virtual National Network), Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic, and Quest Behavioral Health. Private pay sessions are $180, and I offer sliding-scale options for those who need them.
All sessions are fully virtual via a secure telehealth platform. I see clients located anywhere in Virginia, which makes it easy to access care from wherever works best for you.
I work with adults ages 18 and up, with a special focus on college students and young professionals navigating anxiety, ADHD, burnout, and the transitions that come with building an adult life.
During our 15-minute consult, I’ll ask about what’s brought you to therapy, your background, and what you’re hoping to change. You’re welcome to ask me questions, too! Then, the first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I typically want to gather information about you and your life, as well as understand your goals.
I work exclusively with adults ages 18 and up. If you’re looking for support for a younger person, I’m happy to offer referrals to clinicians who specialize in that age group.
Yes. Everything discussed in therapy is confidential, with a few legally required exceptions — if there’s imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or in cases involving abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult. I’ll cover this fully at the start of our work together.
Yes. If the private pay rate of $180 isn’t feasible for you, sliding-scale options are available. I believe cost shouldn’t be the only barrier to care — reach out and we’ll figure something out.
Still Have Questions?
Your Next Step Starts with One Conversation.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. A free 15-minute consultation is simply a chance to talk about what’s going on and whether working together feels right.
