ADHD Isn’t A Willpower Problem.

Years of being told to “just focus” or “try harder” can leave you feeling like a failure, and bring up feelings of shame and self-doubt. Gabby helps you work with your brain, not against it.

Creative expression and self-discovery in therapy

The stories you’ve been told about ADHD aren’t the whole picture.

Most adults with ADHD have spent decades internalizing unhelpful narratives. In therapy, we rewrite them and build strategies grounded in how your brain actually works.

Let’s Talk →
  • Old story
    “I’m lazy and unmotivated.”
    New frame
Shame only makes me feel worse. What feels manageable for me right now?
  • Old story
    “I can’t finish anything I start.”
    New frame
How can I customize this task to make it exciting or easier for me?
  • Old story
“Something is fundamentally wrong with me.”
    New frame
My brain is wired differently, and that comes with real strengths too!
You might be experiencing…

Adult ADHD can look a lot of different ways.

ADHD in adults, especially in women and high-achievers who’ve developed coping mechanisms, is often overlooked or misunderstood. You might have found ways to compensate, but at a significant cost to your energy and wellbeing.

If you’ve always felt like you’re working twice as hard for half the results, therapy can help you understand why and actually change it.

  • Difficulty starting tasks, even ones you care about
  • Jumping between projects and leaving things half-finished
  • Losing track of time; chronically late or rushing
  • Forgetting appointments, names, or what you just read
  • Zoning out during conversations or meetings
  • A constant sense of underperforming relative to your potential
  • Emotional sensitivity, or big reactions that catch you off guard
  • Hyperfocusing on things you love, but unable to shift when needed
  • Feeling overwhelmed by both mental and physical clutter
  • Exhausted from “masking” in professional or social settings
How we work together

Therapy that actually fits how you think

Gabby’s approach is practical, flexible, and grounded in your real life, not a generic workbook.

01

Understand your ADHD

We start by understanding how ADHD shows up specifically for you: your patterns, your strengths, and the particular ways your nervous system works. Everyone is different, with their own unique ways of being.

02

Build real-world tools

Using evidence-based strategies adapted for ADHD brains (including CBT, behavioral activation, and emotion regulation), you’ll develop practical systems that work with how you naturally operate.

03

Repair the self-esteem

Years of struggling can leave deep marks on how you see yourself. A big part of the work is undoing the shame and building genuine self-compassion.

The process

What getting started looks like

No complicated intake process. Just a real conversation and a path forward.

1

Free 15-minute consultation

We talk briefly about what you’re experiencing, and you can ask Gabby any questions. No forms to fill out beforehand, no pressure. Just a conversation to see if it feels right.

2

First full session

Your first session digs deeper into your history with ADHD, including when symptoms started, how they’ve impacted your life, what you’ve already tried, and what you want things to look like differently.

3

Collaborative treatment plan

Together, you’ll build a plan that’s realistic and tailored to your life, not a cookie-cutter approach. Sessions move at your pace, and the agenda is always yours to shape.

4

Ongoing support & skills

Regular sessions build momentum. You’ll gain insight, develop strategies that actually stick, and start showing up to your own life with less friction and more self-trust.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist · Virginia

I specialize in working with neurodiverse clients, including adults with ADHD who are navigating the tension between their capabilities and the challenges they face every day. I’ve seen firsthand how exhausting it is to spend your whole life working twice as hard to keep up, and how much changes when you finally have real support.

I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and completed my clinical internship at the College of William & Mary’s Counseling Center. I see adult clients ages 18+ virtually across Virginia.
